Mentoring
Mentoring to understand behaviour, regulate overwhelm, and support neurodivergent minds.
Service Description
I offer mentoring for teenagers, parents, and neurodivergent adults who are navigating overwhelm, emotional intensity, or feeling misunderstood in the world around them. My work sits at the intersection of practical support, emotional understanding, and neurodivergent-informed insight. Many of the people I work with struggle with anxiety, shutdown, frustration, or the pressure to fit into systems that do not naturally suit them. Through one-to-one mentoring I help people understand what is happening in their nervous system, recognise patterns in behaviour and emotions, and develop practical ways to respond differently. This often includes psychoeducation around ADHD, autism, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and the impact of chronic stress. For teenagers, mentoring offers a safe and respectful space to explore what they are experiencing without judgement or pressure. Together we work on understanding emotions, managing overwhelm, building confidence, and finding strategies that genuinely work for them. For parents, mentoring provides support in understanding their child’s behaviour, reducing conflict at home, and learning approaches that help both parent and child feel more regulated and connected. For neurodivergent adults, sessions often focus on understanding lifelong patterns, reducing shame, building self-trust, and creating ways of living that honour how their mind and nervous system actually function. Rather than trying to “fix” people, my approach is about helping individuals and families understand themselves more clearly, regulate their nervous systems, and move forward with greater confidence, compassion, and practical tools for everyday life.
