Cutting of Ties Healing - Overview About the Treatment

Cutting of Ties is a shamanic healing process designed to help release unhealthy energetic connections between you and another person, situation, or influence. These ties can form through control, manipulation, emotional dependency, unresolved trauma, or long-term energetic drain.

This work supports you in reclaiming your own energy, strengthening your boundaries, and restoring a sense of autonomy and inner freedom. The intention is not to erase memories or deny relationships, but to release energetic attachments that no longer serve your wellbeing.

This is a complementary and spiritual practice and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or mental health support.

What Cutting of Ties Can Help With

This work may be supportive if you are experiencing:

  • Feeling controlled, manipulated, or energetically drained by another person

  • Difficulty letting go of someone from the past

  • Ongoing emotional impact from abusive or traumatic experiences

  • Repetitive thought patterns or emotional hooks linked to a specific person

  • Feeling “stuck” or entangled despite physical separation

Cutting of Ties can also be done within loving relationships or family connections where insecurity, control, or imbalance is present. When approached in this way, the intention is not to separate people, but to restore healthier energetic boundaries and mutual respect.

The person connected to the tie may be someone living, someone no longer in your life, or an energetic or spiritual presence.

A Safe and Supportive Healing Environment

My ethical practice is rooted in ensuring that every client feels safe, secure, and respected at all times. Your emotional, physical, and energetic wellbeing are my highest priorities.

This work is done gently, at your pace, and with your full consent. You are always in control of how deeply you engage with the process. You may pause, stop, or ask questions at any time.

Confidentiality, respect, and professionalism guide every session.

What a Session Looks Like

To help you feel comfortable, here is what typically happens during a session:

  • Sessions last approximately one hour

  • A warm welcome and brief check-in

  • Grounding and intention-setting together

  • You will lie comfortably on a therapy couch

  • Guided visualisation to identify energetic ties

  • Support from spiritual guidance (as you understand it)

  • A conscious process of releasing and cutting the ties

  • Energetic clearing and protection work

  • Smudging with shamanic herbs

  • Gentle reintegration and grounding

  • A short conversation at the end about how you’re feeling

  • You are guided throughout and never left alone with difficult material.

  • The Role of Visualisation

This process involves guided imagery to help you safely recognise and release energetic connections. You may visualise ties as ropes, cords, or chains, and these can appear anywhere around or within the body.

Some people see images clearly; others sense or feel them. There is no right or wrong way to experience this. Your imagination and inner awareness are simply tools for healing.

Possible Sensations During the Session

Clients may experience:

  • Emotional release (such as tears, relief, or calm)

  • Sensations of resistance followed by lightness

  • Feeling empowered, grounded, or clearer

  • Fatigue or deep relaxation

All responses are valid. The work can be deeply moving, and strong emotions may arise for both client and practitioner. Support is present throughout.

Aftercare Guidance

After your session, you may wish to:

  • Drink water and rest if needed

  • Keep the remainder of the day gentle

  • Spend time in nature or quiet reflection

  • Journal or note any insights or feelings

  • Avoid alcohol or emotionally intense conversations for a few hours

Some clients notice a sense of relief or clarity immediately. Others experience gradual shifts over the following days.

If the person connected to the tie is still physically present in your life, it is possible they may reach out shortly after the session. This is a common energetic response and does not mean the work has failed.

How Many Sessions People Usually Need

  • You are free to choose what feels right for you.

  • Some people feel complete after one session

  • Others prefer additional sessions for layered or long-term attachments

  • There is no obligation or expectation to continue

  • Your autonomy is always respected.

When Clients Should Avoid a Session

For safety and comfort, consider rescheduling if:

  • You are feeling extremely overwhelmed or emotionally unstable

  • You require urgent mental health or medical support

  • You feel unable to engage with visualisation or inner awareness at this time

  • I am happy to discuss whether this work feels appropriate for you.

  • Your participation helps shape a safe and effective session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this remove memories or feelings?

No. This work focuses on releasing energetic attachment, not erasing memory. Many clients feel more neutral, empowered, or less emotionally reactive afterward.

Will this affect loving relationships?

When done within healthy relationships, the intention is to remove control or insecurity — not love or connection.

Do I need to believe in spirit guides?

No. You may interpret this in a way that feels right for you — as intuition, inner wisdom, or symbolic support.

Is there physical touch?

No physical touch is required unless discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
